Name: Jess Cheetham
Info: Jess plays both the lusty and tempting Jessica and
the ill-fated Apprentice Librarian Cassie. As well as being startlingly professional
and talented Jess also became (post-KONKERS) President of Kent Drama Society
T24, but that’s as far as the nepotism goes I promise you. |

Name: Richard
Dadd
Info: You know Richard: he writes and directs KONKERS and
we’re not going to bore you all by telling you how many characters he plays.
Basically if it’s a male character and you can’t find it credited to anyone
else then it’s Richard. Or if it’s a female character for that matter. He’s
not quite so big-headed as he seems - the show was originally a one-man vehicle
for his comedy characters, but it grew into including the cast as it now
stands. He’s not very friendly and the most egotistical person you will
ever meet. |

Name: Katharine Davison
Info: The only Canterbury Christchurch University student
in the cast, although not on purpose! Katharine responded to a call for actresses
to perform in KONKERS. Her audition led her to be cast in numerous roles,
but fitting her into recording sessions proved difficult. We held out for
her though, and are pleased to say she gives a cracking performance as Peach in
the latter half of the series. |

Name: Holli Dillon
Info: Holli turned up an hour late to her KONKERS audition.
She’s a thespian like that. She plays everything from
a Receptionist in episode 1, to troubled Fresher Jill
in episode 2, but most notably drama teacher psycho
Persephone. We would love to tell you more about her professional exploits,
but she has insisted on censoring us. Be intrigued. Be very intrigued. |

Name: Dan Fryer
Info: Originally intended to simply play Barry,
Dan eventually ended up playing Mr Foxtrotterby and Peter
Farthings and Keith as well as becoming the series’
Technical Director and composing the theme tune with his mate Tom Cohen.
All by accident. What can I say? He’s difficult to get rid of, so you might
as well make use of him while he’s around. |

Name: Tom German
Info: Tom rejoices in the roles of Tim Tat and Professor
Boffin and also gives a fantastic performance towards the end of
episode 5 in another role that I won’t name for fear of giving the plot away.
Outside of KONKERS Tom has numerous other talents. He worked at Wickes for
years and has many fascinating anecdotes about it. He also once invented
a hyper-drive, but he won’t use it. |

Name: Ollie Lee
Info: The only cast member not to be studying at University
at the time of recording. He worked at Starbucks instead, and seemed genuinely
to love it. As it happens, his KONKERS audition was held in a cellar underneath
Starbucks. He’s a top bloke, and he plays such diametrically opposed characters
as Oxford reject Walter and Rock Band front man Jagz. |

Name: Tom Mathias
Info: Introduced to us by Holli Dillon as a suggestion that
he play Martin, so extra brownie points go to her. He’s good pedigree - he
was a zombie extra in Shaun of the Dead. No, really, he was. There’s a photo
of him and Simon Pegg somewhere to prove it. He also brings Mike to life
(briefly) in episode 4. |

Name: Anna Mortimer
Info:In real life Anna Mortimer is very well-spoken. She
is also rather beautiful. So Richard decided to cast her in a radio series,
where you can’t see her, and where she talks in a gruff cockney accent. Sometimes
his reasoning defies all logic. Anna plays the Head Librarian. And yes, she
is always dressed as Robin Hood. But she doesn‘t always look that startled. |
